About us

Caselex s.a.r.l. is an independent legal publisher which is the result of the venture established by Mr Stig Marthinsen and Mr Marc de Vries back in 2003. Its mission is to

serve as a premium information service for important case law by aggregating and adding significant value to international and national case law tailored to the needs of legal professionals, enriching their knowledge about solutions to legal issues in a highly engaging and productive service environment.

Due to the innovative nature of the venture and its high importance, the European Commission's eContent programme gave support to develop the pilot application in 2005-2006. Supported by a strong private-public alliance and with the support of Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE), the European Company Lawyers Association (ECLA) and the European Association of Judges (EAJ), the venture developed a highly engaging pilot application that has been taken a step further to become the premium service offered on this site.

Caselex is in its initial deployment phase 2007-2009 still supported by the European Commission under its eTEN programme, CCBE, ECLA and EAJ.
